To review an outline of CHAN materials: Cornell Family Development Curriculum Although it was not developed specifically for CHWs, Cornell's Family Development Worker curriculum covers many of the important skills required by CHWs. The State of New York awards a family development worker credential based on completion of this training with an individual worker portfolio. Cornell provides train-the-trainer sessions twice a year in Ithaca, NY and will conduct local TOT sessions by special arrangement. Missouri Volunteer Resource Mothers (manual and video $115.00) MotherNet America (INMED) Resource Mothers training materials - Click here for order form. Community Health Outreach Workers training (King County, WA) Pacific Community Health Worker Certificate (New Zealand) Migrant Health Promotion has "flip charts" for training on subjects like substance abuse and domestic free for download from their Web site, (there is a charge for ordering the materials to be mailed as hard copy); they also offer basic CHW training materials and a women's health video series. These materials will be available from their Web site in Spring 2004. All MHP materials are in English and Spanish.
